Parker Thune
I’m a versatile sports journalist currently serving as a team/recruiting analyst for the On3 network, as well as the midday host for the Ref Sports Radio Network. I’m the co-publisher of OUInsider.com, a mainstay for Oklahoma football and recruiting coverage since 1997. I’m a 2021 STAA All-American, a Heisman Trophy voter, and a two-time graduate of the University of Oklahoma.
Television Reporter
I’ve spent several years honing my craft as an on-air reporter, covering a wide variety of sports and events.
Anchor and Studio Host
I was named the Television Personality of the Year by the Oklahoma Broadcast Education Association in both 2020 and 2021 for my work on Sooner Sports Pad, GamedayU and OU Nightly.
Broadcast and Remote Production
I’ve coordinated and produced shows from locations such as Miami, Los Angeles, and Atlanta.

Photography
I shoot sporting events, including Oklahoma football games, with a Sony A7iii and a 200-600mm OSS lens.

I can be be heard live across the Sooner State weekdays from 12-3pm on the Ref Sports Radio Network.
Documentary Storytelling
In addition to my sports coverage, I’ve also hosted and produced a nationally acclaimed featurette documentary. It focuses on the demise of Picher, an Oklahoma mining town devastated by environmental catastrophe. The film has earned Grand Prizes from the National Broadcast Society, Oklahoma Broadcast Education Association and Society of Professional Journalists.
